Link tracking
Links on my CV and personal page go through go.rodrigosalazar.ch, a redirect service I built to understand which links are actually useful. When you click one of these links, the following is recorded:
- Which link was clicked (e.g. "claveshift")
- Where the link was placed (e.g. "CV-EN", "CV-DE")
-
Your country (value provided by Cloudflare via the
CF-IPCountryheader) - The date and time of the click
That's it. No IP addresses, cookies, browser fingerprints, user agents, or personal identifiers are stored. The country value is recorded as provided by Cloudflare; IP addresses are never stored or accessible to me.
Purpose: understand which links are useful and from which context (CV, website).
Data retention: click data is kept for a limited period and may be aggregated or deleted over time.
The data is kept in a Cloudflare D1 database and is only accessible to me.
Analytics
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies or track individual visitors. It collects aggregate page view data only.
Source code
The redirect service is open source: github.com/rodrigos1233/redirect. You can see exactly what is collected.
